Drucker-Kompatibilität von GasBlender

Nachweisgebundene Angaben zu Systemdruck, A4-Etikettenbogen und Raw-Etikettendruck.

Deutsch

Stand: 4. September 2026

  • Stufe A – Software- und Systemdruckfähigkeit.
  • Stufe B – Nachweis im Development-only Printer Simulator.

GasBlender printer compatibility

Effective: September 4, 2026

Summary: GasBlender states printer compatibility per profile and per evidence level, never as a model promise. Software and system-print capability, evidence from the Development-only Printer Simulator, and historical physical printouts are reported separately on this page. A geometric or simulated check says nothing about a real device, a real material, or a real printout.

1. What this page covers

This page summarizes which printing paths GasBlender implements as a contract and which evidence exists for each of them. It is not a second technical, safety, or defect-status source. The product help inside GasBlender describes which functions a specific app version actually offers and remains authoritative for that.

Manufacturer and product names on this page are compatibility information only. They do not indicate cooperation with a manufacturer, any review by that manufacturer, or a release of its product by GasBlender.

2. Three separate evidence levels

Every statement on this page belongs to exactly one of the following levels. A higher level never follows automatically from a lower one.

  • Level A – software and system-print capability. GasBlender implements a documented document, geometry, profile, or system-print contract, and its encoders, validators, and automated tests are green. This describes the software only.
  • Level B – evidence from the Development-only Printer Simulator. A job was produced, received, and validated against a profile in a development-only environment. The Printer Simulator is not part of the shipped apps. It substantiates document, geometry, layout, protocol, and system-print contracts and never replaces a real printout.
  • Level C – physically confirmed printout. A real printer produced a real result on real media, and a person checked and accepted dimensions, margins, readability, and completeness. Only this level is a statement about the physical world.

Level A and level B say nothing about fit to the die-cut of a purchased sheet, paper feeding, adhesion, material behavior, resistance to moisture or rubbing, calibration, or the behavior of a particular firmware. GasBlender does not check such properties and does not claim them here.

3. System printing of fill sheets and PDF

The safe default path is native system printing: through the operating system's native print dialog on macOS and through the system-driven AirPrint dialog on iPad and iPhone. Printer, media, printable area, orientation, scaling, and finishing are negotiated by the operating system and the printer, not by GasBlender.

GasBlender supplies the document with the standard dimensions of the selected fill sheet format and never scales a smaller format up automatically on larger system media. Any printer the operating system itself provides can generally be used this way; GasBlender makes no device-specific promise about it.

Level C, single existing record: On August 30, 2026 an A4 office print job was submitted through a local system/AirPrint queue to a Canon GX6000 series and physically printed. Media ISO A4, scale 100 percent, one-sided; measured margins 7 mm left, 7 mm right, 8 mm top, and 8 mm bottom. The printout was accepted as correct in content and without visible clipping. This record applies to that device in that configuration and to no other printer.

4. A4 label sheets

GasBlender ships three fixed A4 sheet geometries as immutable built-ins. Each has a stable identifier, catalog and geometry revision, the product code, the printer class stated by the manufacturer, and per-field source references. Your own validated rectangular A4 grids remain available as custom templates.

  • 3425 – 2 × 5 grid, 10 labels per A4 sheet, product size 105 × 57 mm. Printer class stated by the manufacturer: inkjet, monochrome laser, and color laser. Material description by the manufacturer, not checked by GasBlender: universal paper label.
  • J4776-10 – 2 × 6 grid, 12 labels per A4 sheet, product size 99.1 × 42.3 mm. Printer class stated by the manufacturer: inkjet. Material description by the manufacturer, not checked by GasBlender: polyester film.
  • B7173-50 – 2 × 5 grid, 10 labels per A4 sheet, product size 99 × 57 mm on the German product page and 99.1 × 57 mm in the official template; GasBlender uses a normalized 99.1 × 57 mm. Printer class stated by the manufacturer: monochrome laser and color laser. Material description by the manufacturer, not checked by GasBlender: PE film.

Product size, label count, A4 format, shape description, and printer class are published by the manufacturer. Start offsets and the horizontal pitch normalized to 101.6 mm are marked as a transparent reconstruction from the official templates. For the two products with rounded corners the manufacturer publishes no numeric corner radius; the print-relevant bounding box therefore conservatively uses 0 mm and does not present this as a manufacturer dimension.

Evidence reached: all three templates pass the same geometry validator as a user template (level A) and are rendered in the Development-only Printer Simulator with grid, edge cells, cell selection, print margins, and 100 percent scale (level B). Whether the mandatory MOD content fits into a cell is a separate layout statement proven individually per template; if it does not fit, only MOD sheet printing for that template stays blocked.

None of the three A4 sheet templates has a physical confirmation. Without a real test sheet on your own combination of printer, media, and orientation, GasBlender can promise neither fit to the actual die-cut nor paper-feed behavior nor the material result. A missing physical confirmation is a visible status in the app and not a technical block: after a factual notice you can deliberately continue printing. Acknowledging that notice does not create physical evidence.

5. Direct raw label printing

For the fixed 4 × 2 inch MOD label, GasBlender can send a monochrome raster directly to a label printer configured on the local LAN or Wi-Fi. Compatibility is promised per profile only, never per printer model and never for every device that names a printer language.

Versioned compatibility profiles:

  • zpl-raster-v1 – uncompressed ZPL raster with exactly one copy.
  • epl-raster-v1 – binary EPL raster with exactly one copy.
  • escpos-raster-legacy-v1 – ESC/POS raster using the legacy command the manufacturer marks as obsolete.
  • escpos-graphics-v1 – preferred modern ESC/POS graphics profile; the four-byte length form is used for the 300 dpi raster.

Exactly two operating profiles are supported: 203-dpi-4x2 with 812 × 406 pixels and 300-dpi-4x2 with 1200 × 600 pixels. A higher native resolution is not automatically suitable; the device must be documented to produce or emulate one of these two profiles.

Minimum requirements for device and media: label size 101.6 × 50.8 mm in landscape, at least 101.6 mm of actually printable width and 50.8 mm of usable feed length, complete output without automatic resizing, rotation, or cropping, monochrome 1-bit graphics output in the selected profile, sufficient receive and graphics buffer for exactly one complete job, and a gap, black-mark, or continuous-media configuration set appropriately by the operator. A typical 58 or 80 mm receipt printer does not meet this width contract merely by understanding ESC/POS.

Transport: direct printing goes only to a deliberately configured local TCP endpoint; host and port are stored explicitly. GasBlender does not search for printers on its own and does not automatically detect protocol, resolution, media, or model. There is no silent dialect change and no automatic second attempt, because a job that ended unclearly may already have printed physically.

Project status for raw profiles:

  • Baseline conformant – encoder, validator, fixed reference payloads, and the evidence from the Development-only Printer Simulator are green for a profile and resolution combination.

Current state: all four profiles are baseline conformant. The eight profile/resolution payloads were validated separately in the Development-only Printer Simulator. In addition, one local macOS CUPS driver job was fully received in a loopback capture after verified queue, PPD, 203 dpi, and 4 × 2 inch checks. The system-driver stream and the product raw payloads are separate evidence. This project status deliberately ends at driver, queue, and simulator and makes no statement about a device, media, or print result outside that local development environment.

Evidence register for named models

This register is a source and evidence register, not a list of supported models. An entry is included only with a named model, a documented firmware or emulation statement, a matching profile and resolution, and a clear evidence level. Manufacturer information establishes candidate status at most; it does not replace local configuration or the mandatory real test label. A missing entry says nothing about a device's suitability.

ModelSource record and documented capabilityProfile / resolutionEvidence status
Brother TD-4750TNWBManufacturer specification and manufacturer manual: 300 dpi, up to 105.7 mm print width, LAN/Wi-Fi, and EPL-II and ZPL-II emulation.zpl-raster-v1 / 300-dpi-4x2; epl-raster-v1 / 300-dpi-4x2Documentation-based candidate; no local device or output claim.

The manufacturer sources do not prove GasBlender compatibility or any output. Firmware, serial or device identity, emulation mode, media, calibration, dimensions, and artifact reference remain outside the project status.

6. Your real test label stays mandatory

Before you use a specific printer profile productively, please print a real test label and check at least: all four outer margins fully visible, correct physical width, height, and orientation, readable mandatory content and a writable control area, correct cylinder assignment and analysis values, and correct media tracking without silent scaling or clipping.

Changes to host, port, profile identifier, resolution profile, or media format invalidate an existing confirmation. GasBlender cannot detect changes to firmware, emulation, or calibration automatically; they are equally a reason for a new test label.

7. Explicitly out of scope

The compatibility contract covers no printer fonts, barcodes, variables, status protocols, cutters, peelers, RFID, color printing, multiple copies per job, and no manufacturer-specific configuration commands. Also out of scope are raw printing over USB or Bluetooth, IPP or IPPS as a separate product path, manufacturer SDKs, and the printer languages TSPL, TSPL2, CPCL, DPL, and FBPL.

System-print compatibility is not derived from raw compatibility, and raw compatibility is not derived from system-print compatibility. Naming a printer language or a higher resolution is not sufficient, and a model name implies no promise for other firmware levels, options, emulations, or devices of the same name.
